In therapy you can express what's on your mind and what makes you sad, angry or lonely. Maybe you have trouble in school with other kids, teachers or your parents or maybe you have trouble sleeping or everything just feels like a mess, We can talk about all that, but you don't have to. We can also draw, or write or play to get it off your mind.
The most important thing is, that you feel comfortable with you therapist and are able to trust them.
Will my parents find out what I tell you during therapy?
No! If you don't want to, I am (by law!) not allowed to tell your parents anything about what we talk about without your consent. That is really important, so you are able to trust your therapist.
Should I want to talk to your parents I would need your consent and in addition you have the right to know what I would be discussing with them.
Only if your life or your health is in acute danger do I have to tell someone.
